NICKEL

A key feature of DENSO spark plugs is the patented U-groove ground electrode. This enables complete fuel combustion by allowing the spark to fill the gap created by the 'U' shape. The ball of fire created in the U-groove develops a larger and hotter flame front that virtually eliminates excessive fouling and erratic starts caused by poor fuel mixtures. The complete combustion from DENSO’s U-groove design leads to greater fuel efficiency.

Long Life plugs

DOUBLE PLATINUM

DENSO pioneered the use of platinum in spark plug manufacturing. To maximise the longevity and enhance the durability of the spark plug, DENSO applied platinum to both the centre and ground electrodes. Platinum's superior resistance to erosion and corrosion has enabled DENSO to engineer a spark plug capable of consistent, extended operation in excess of 100,000 kilometres.

IRIDIUM POWER®

Employing a revolutionary 360° laser welding process, DENSO has created a spark plug unlike anything else on the market today. Designed for durability under the most extreme conditions, DENSO's patented iridium alloy is 6 x harder and 8 x stronger than conventional platinum and can handle temperatures in excess of 2,450°C. With an approximate life span of 150,000km, these properties make Iridium Power® long life plugs the most durable and robust in the market.

DENSO supplies these plugs as Original Equipment to vehicle manufacturers including Daihatsu, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.

IRIDIUM POWER®

DENSO’s Iridium Power® high-performance range redefines performance driving with the world’s smallest iridium alloy electrode diameter of 0.4mm.

The iridium electrode used in DENSO’s Iridium Power® Performance plugs enables a high concentration of electrical field which requires lower jump spark voltage. This improves ignition performance, eliminates misfiring and translates into high performance driving.

The lower required voltage and high ignitability from the iridium electrode also guarantees smoother idling, improved acceleration and high response driving. These plugs can withstand even the most severe conditions and have proven themselves as original equipment and racing plugs.
