From one of the first companies to perfect automotive air-conditioning systems almost fifty years ago, to the company which developed the world's first 1,800-bar diesel common rail system with piezo injectors, DENSO Corporation has a long history of being the first at opening doors to new possibilities.

The DENSO Group in Australia is based in Croydon, Victoria and is comprised of DENSO International Australia and Australian Automotive Air. The two companies' functions compliment each other to form a strong unified group with common goals, whilst ensuring each focuses on core areas of competence. A contemporary example of the "whole being greater than the sum of its parts." DENSO International Australia is responsible for sales and marketing, service, finance and distribution functions for automotive and specialist industrial products, which include barcode and 2D-code scanners, robotics, bus air-conditioners and industrial strength spot coolers.

All automotive component design and manufacture takes place at DENSO Australia Group's local manufacturing plant, Australian Automotive Air. Components manufactured here include air-intake systems, air-conditioners, engine cooling systems, instrument clusters and fuel pump modules.

Australian Automotive Air’s Product Design Department works closely with all major local Australian car companies including Toyota, Holden, Mitsubishi and Ford to develop locally manufactured automotive components as Original Equipment (OE) and aftermarket product.

Accredited with QS9001andISO14001, Australian Automotive Air is globally recognised for manufacturing excellence and environmental responsiveness. The opening of a technical training facility and investment in a new R&D centre here further consolidates DENSO Group’s commitment to the Australian automotive industry.
