Question Casey Competition -  Conditions of Entry

1. The Promoter is Denso International Australia Pty Ltd. A.C.N 081 951 402. 255 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine, VIC, 3043.

2. Information on how to enter form part of these conditions of entry. Entry to this promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

3. Entry is only open to residents of Australia. If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian.

4. Promotion commences 12 July 2006 and closes, last mail received on Friday 1 September 2006. This is a game of skill, chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on creative and literary merit. The best entry as determined by the judges will be deemed the Major prize winner. The judging will commence at the Promoters premises at 9am on Monday 4 September 2006. Winners will be notified by mail and phone using contact details provided in their entry, and winners will have their name published in Australian Motorcycle News Vol 56#6 on sale Wednesday 20 September 2006.

5. To enter, send in the entry form found in Australian Motorcycle News (Vol 56#1 - Vol 56#4) with your question for Casey Stoner. Please also include your name, phone numbers and address contact details.  Send your completed entry to Casey Stoner Comp. Denso International. 255 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine, VIC 3043. Multiple entries accepted, but each entry must be on a separate entry form and in a separate envelope. All entry forms must be originals and no photocopies will be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits and entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

6. Judges’ decision is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into. Incomplete and illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be discarded.

7. The best valid entry as determined by the judges will be deemed the major prize winner. The major prize winner will win a trip for two (2) people to Phillip Island valued at up to $4000 inc. GST (depending on point of departure), including two (2) return economy airfares from the winner’s nearest capital city to Melbourne (non-Victorian residents only), two (2) nights twin share accommodation (Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September 2006), two (2) daily coach transfers (Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September 2006) to attend the 2006 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix to be held on 15-17 September 2006 (Event), two (2) corporate hospitality tickets (for entry on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September 2006), two (2) pit lane walk passes, two (2) seats in a pace car hot lap and two (2) DENSO/ Team LCR Gift packs. The prize also includes the winner and their companion meeting Casey Stoner and Team LCR members for photos, autographs and an opportunity to ask their winning question to Casey Stoner. The prize must be taken to coincide with the Event and the time with Casey Stoner must be taken on the date and at the time determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. The winner and the winner’s companion must be available to take the prize at this time. The promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of the prize occurring at any stage of this promotion. If for any reason Casey Stoner is unavailable to meet with the prize winner, a member of Team LCR, at their discretion, will take his place.

8. The prize is subject to booking and flight availability and flights may not be changed once the tickets are purchased. Flights will be on Qantas Airways Limited only and none of its subsidiary airlines (ie Sunstate, Jetstar, Eastern Australian, Southern Airlines and Airlink) and flights do not accrue frequent flyer points. Upgrades cannot be purchased either with cash or frequent flyer points.

9. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

10. Spending money, meals (outside of the corporate hospitality suite), transport to and from departure point, airline and/or airport taxes, transfers and all other ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking a prize is the responsibility of the winner.

11. The winners must comply with all directions of the Promoter and race officials at all times. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse the winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the Promoter determines, in its absolute discretion, that the winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to safely participate in that aspect of the prize. Notwithstanding any other conditions set out herein, the Promoter at all times reserves the right to prevent any individual from participating in the prize for any reason whatsoever.

12. The winner and their companion attending the Event agree to comply with the Conditions of Sale and Conditions of Entry to the Event (copies of which are displayed at entrances to the Event or available at www.grandprix.com.au). The winner agrees to make his or her companion aware of the Conditions of Sale and Conditions of Entry to the Event. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner and their companion must sign a waiver of liability and indemnity form, and in such form as, required by the Promoter.

13. The winner and their companion acknowledge and accept that motor racing and related activities are dangerous and accidents can happen, and that participation in any prize has a degree of danger. To the extent permitted by law, the prize winner and their companion exclude, release and forever discharge the Promoter and all other persons involved in the conduct, promotion and organisation of any component of the prize or the Event and their respective employees, agents, sub-contractors, consultants (including employees of those sub-contractors and consultants) directors, officers and sub-licenses from all liability for claims, loss, damage, costs or expenses (whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury, death, property damage, infringement of third party rights or otherwise) arising from or in connection with the participation in the relevant prize or attendance at the Event or otherwise howsoever arising.

14. By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.

15. The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost or misdirected mail.

16. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

17. Entries will not be returned. All entries submitted become the property of the Promoter. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant warrants to the Promoter that each entry submitted is an original artistic work of the entrant which does not infringe the rights of any third party. The entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter against all claims and costs by third parties arising from a breach of the warranty set out in this condition. The Promoter is entitled to use any of the entries received for any purpose at its discretion, including (but not limited to) future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition are governed by the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Promoter’s privacy policy.
