Tokyo - DENSO Corporation will separate a division of the facility administration department to form a new company on 1 July 2003. The new company named “DENSO Facilities Corporation will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the utility supply facilities, as well as implementation and management of the construction work for DENSO and its group companies. The 30 million yen capital required to start the company will be provided by DENSO.
"The new company will be able to act independently yet remain incorporated in DENSO operations, enhancing business efficiency and reinforce the specialized functions of facility administration" said Koichi Fukaya , president-elect and CEO and current leader of the production promotion center at DENSO Corporation.
Fukaya continued, "In April 2004, building management and welfare facility maintenance will also be separated from DENSO Unity Service Corporation, with the purpose of merging into new company. We hope the merger will lead to the centralization of facility maintenance operations and higher quality services."
DENSO Facilities Corporation is the 11 DENSO company established by separating a headquarters function since 1999 when the first DENSO company was established by a separation. The company intends to expand its business to non-group companies in the future.
